Georgian English Oak Delft Plate Rack.
Antique Hanging Oak Plate Rack.
This is an extremely handsome and attractive hanging oak plate rack.
It dates to the 18th Century and is completely original and in excellent condition.
It has a deeply scaloped frieze and well shaped side uprights. The plate retaining bar on the top shelf is original and never been damaged.
It has its original full set of iron cup hooks on both shelves and raised domed iron nail studs through the side uprights. Both shelves are grooved with ridges to take plates.
It has never had backboards or been adapted from the rack of a dresser and rack.
Superb deep colour and patination.
Excellent Condition throughout.
