Antique large Georgian / Regency early 19th Century mahogany bureau desk writing table.
This is a lovely bureau, that is full of age, charm and character. Fantastic crossbanded maple interior...this is a high spec bureau.
No loose joints and the drawers slide freely (some marks and remnants of old paper linings inside as is to be expected).
Good shape and fantastic large proportions.
A great colour.

Overall maximum dimensions: 124cmW x 55cmD x 110cmH (83cmH writing surface).
Historic knocks, marks, cracks, scratches, wear, imperfections, repairs and alterations, as is always the way and to be expected with genuine antique furniture. There are some historic extinct woodworm holes, that we have treated for good measure. No keys and the locks are untested. Historic repairs to feet, which are strong now. centre third hinge to the fall front is missing (although this is unlikely to have been an original feature). There is a little historic distortion to the fall front, which is within the realms of normal and adds to period charm.
Please note that this item is large and heavy. Please make sure before buying that it will fit in and can be maneuvered into the room that it is intended for. The customer will need to provide 1 strong able bodied person(s) for our driver to assist with carrying.
