Group of 10 Georgian Gaming Tokens
This is a group of 10 Georgian Gaming Tokens in the form of a Spade half Guinea. The Tokens appear to be made of giltbrass.
The tokens have the head of George lll but are dated 1701 before his birth in 1738, I believe this was to avoid a possible death penalty for counterfeiting coin of the realm. The Tokens are in good condition with some wear to the gilt.
The coins may be of later production in 1870. Items purchased after the 15th of May 2025 will not be posted until 14th June 2025
