Ian Pethers RBA Ink & Watercolour of a Water Garden

This is a small framed original ink and watercolour drawing titled 'The Water Garden Glenrock' by Ian Pethers RBA (Royal Society of British Artists), signed on front and back and dated on reverse 1993.
Glenrock is the name of Ian Pethers' studio in Gunnislake, Cornwall.
Dimensions: Frame - 46 x 36 cm (18" x 14")
Image - 27 x 18 cm (10 1/2" x 7 1/8")
Condition: This ink drawing is in excellent condition. It was removed from the frame in order to clean the inside of the glass and replaced back in its original frame.
Biography: Ian Pethers was born in 1956 in London and took to painting at an early stage. His first major work was ‘Unloading Coal in Romney Lock’, which was exhibited and sold at the Royal Society of Marine Artists’ Exhibition in the Mall Gallery in 1985. In 1989 he was elected a member of the Society of Botanical Artists.
He moved to Cornwall in 1990 and has since illustrated several national hotel guides, designed book covers and has designed posters and maps for the local railway network.
In 2001 Ian was elected a member of the Royal Society of Miniature Painters and has won two awards for his miniature paintings of woodlands and Cornish mining relics.
His work is sold in a number of Cornwall based art galleries where individual pictures typically sell in the £250 to £400 range.
