This is a very attractive, tall watercolour of Wild or Dog Roses, by the Worthing, West Sussex artist Julia Mardon, who has signed the painting in the lower right hand corner and entitled it verso 'Roses in Cream'. Apparently Julia takes individual pupils, as well as running classes in Worthing, in watercolour painting, with a bias towards flower painting. Other than this, we have been unable to trace further biographical information. It has also been very difficult to give a date, as the watercolour isn't dated, but our best guess is late twentieth century.

The painting is mounted in two-tone mountboard and is framed in a simple 1/2" gilt frame. It will be supplied wired and ready to hang.

Medium: Watercolours on paper

Condition: Very good. There is no foxing or fading. The mounts are in very good condition, as is the frame, with very minor wear consistent with use.
