Super 1950's Kigu powder compact with lucite top. This delightful Kigu powder compact has a gold tone body with a thick lucite circular centre piece with flower and leave decoration. The lucite is carved in to a hexagonal shape. The flowers are styled as pink roses with green leaves and gold stems. Inside opens up to reveal the circular mirror with the words 'patented' above and 'Made in England' below it. The powder well has the Kigu mark on the lid and this opens to reveal the original unused sifter and puff. The base has a wonderful engine turned design.

The condition is excellent and the compact is in unused condition. The lucite is in excellent condition as is the gold tone body. The internal circular mirror has a thin line of fogging to the bottom left but this does not detract in any way from the function or look of the mirror. The clasp opens easily and closes with a firm click. This is a lovely example of a lucite topped compact from Kigu.
