Large Carved Oriental Camphor Wood Chest

This Carved Chest is made from Camphor Wood, for those of you who do not know camphor wood it is a hard wood which lends itself very well to carving.
However the main reason for using camphor wood is its fragrance it smells a bit like Eucalyptus and this most attractive of smells repels moths hence its common use in the best quality Blanket Boxes
The carving of this piece is quite delightful depicting many ships, pagodas, and Warriors on Horses
The chest is carved on every side, and it is in nice condition
The chest is 39” long, 20” high and 18” deep
