Large Edwardian portrait of a gentleman in oil on canvas c.1910. Unknown sitter with silver hair and distinctive pointed moustaches and beard shown half length in formal dress. Painted in a loose impressionistic style in oil on canvas. Presented on the original stretcher in a simple oak frame with gilded slip. Unfortunately we have not been able to find an artist’s signature but the reverse of the stretcher carries a label for the framers J.D Spence of Dublin.
