An excellent quality Victorian oil lamp by Evered & Co Ltd. As can be seen in the photos, the oil lamp is in fantastic condition. The cut glass font has no chips or scratches and is fitted with the Evered patent safety lock collar. The key-lift riser burner is has been thoroughly cleaned and polished and works perfectly. This is also stamped Evered & Co on the key and the bridge. The opal glass adjuster is engraved 'Evered's No 3 Duplex'. The acid etched glass shade is also in excellent condition with no chips or scratches. The base is mounted by three winged lions with human female heads. To the underside of the base is stamped 'E & Co'. The lamp stands an impressive 77 cm in height including the chimney and 66.5 cm to the top rim of the shade. All in all, a stunning lamp by a top quality maker.
