Late 19th C. Mahogany Office Desk Swivel Chair

A Beautiful Antique Mahogany Desk / Swivel Chair
An unusual and handsome antique chair, with a wonderful design incorporating a hooped back with raised carved fan design, the arms and uprights united by highly tactile ball ends.
Dating to the late 19th Century and taking some influence from the concurrent aesthetic movement and burgeoning Arts and Crafts period.
The seat is raised on four steeply swept legs which locate into a cast swivel mechanism.
Excellent colour and aged patina, the chair has been used, handled and polished for decades and thankfully appears to have never been cleaned or scrubbed. An honest piece, completely unrestored.
Seat Height: 45cms. Overall height: 83cms. Maximum width 61cms. Depth: 50cms
With age-related use and wear. Could be used as is, or improved / restored. Email or call for any further information on this item. We give great attention to each and every item we select and offer for sale, priding ourselves on the accuracy of our descriptions and research. We are very happy to provide complete and exacting condition reports (together with further photographs, where necessary) and encourage buyers to request this information prior to purchase.
Accepted payment methods are via paypal, bank transfer, personal cheque or cash.
Viewing of any item in person, prior to purchase, is always welcomed by appointment.
