Liberty Arts & Crafts Fireside Chair


Liberty arts & crafts fireside chair c1890-1920.
This is a classic Liberty Cotswold fireside chair. Having the classic double front rail with side rails above and below running to the sides with sea grass replacement seat. Note also the height of the back being after the Scottish school having a more pronounced height after C.R. Mackintosh's designs and the Glasgow school's influence on design. all the features of a classic arts and crafts liberty chair which was first introduced c1890. These chairs were made with and without arms this one has arms. Please remember a fireside chair is meant to have a low seat to warm yourself as you come in. It has a beech frame and original finish and is in good condition.
