This is a very well executed pastel of a Jack Russell Terrier named Trumpet, by an artist with the initials , we think, of LRB. We are a little unsure of the first initial, although we do not know what else it could be. The terrier has light brown fold-over ears and a white face, with a brown collar. The pastel is a head study.

Unfortunately, we can offer no biographical information on the artist, and the framing company, although still in business willl not reopen until March. We do know that the pastel was drawn before 1995, as the label from the framers lists a phone dialling code without the 1 which was inseted into codes on 'Phone day'. Of course, what we do not know is whether this was the first frame or a replacement.

The pastel is mounted in ivory and is framed in a 5/8 inch light wooden frame that suits it very well. It will be supplied wired and ready to hang.
