Mid 19th Century Japanese Wakizashi sword with a possibly 17th century blade. Has a cord bound shagreen grip with two gold finished menuki mounts. Gold and silver decorated applied figure to end mount. Iron Tsuba with applied gold, silver and copper decoration. Black lacquered scabbard with wave design finish. With its Kozuka knife which has a copper hilt decorated with Mount Fuji in gilt clouds. Kozula has rust staining to blade. Wakizashi has a curved blade with lots of original polish and very slight rust staining. Blade is fitted to the sword by a silver habaki. In general good untouched condition overall. Signed tang with two holes.

Approximately 71cm overall and blade 51cm.
