Mid Century Modern Danish Rosewood Desk
A mid century desk danish produced with seven drawers all lockable with swan neck handles two cupboards to the back Fully hand made with hand-cut precision dovetail joint solid rosewood legs and edging drawers and shelves of solid oak - outstanding quality, the desk has been fully polished retaining its excellent colour however there is a slightly darker patch in the middle working area all the drawers and doors lock with one original key, overall the desk is in excellent condition throughout and quality is the best I have ever seen.
On your first initial glance the desk looks like it was designed by Ole Wanscher and produced by Iverson and I have had a few in the past but the quality of this desk is far superior, this could be early Kare Klint for Rud Rasmussen the desk in all is a lot heavier as it is rosewood on solid oak, the legs are solid rosewood and they have the same shape as Klint would have used on his chairs, also the keys and locks are slightly earlier, as if they were still from the Art Deco period
