NC/CN Watercolour Still Life Apple Blossom 19th C.

We are pleased to offer this beautifully executed 19th Century Watercolour by the monogrammist artist NC or CN, whoh has signed the painting in the lower left hand corner. The painting depicts a portrait shaped still life of what we believe to be apple blossom in a brown earthenware jug or pot. There are a few fallen petals lying beneath the jug..
Sadly we have been unable to locate the owner of the monogram, as neither option is listed in our two books of Victorian monograms. However, the work is of such quality that it must have been executed by a professional artist.
This is one of three works by the same artist that we are listing.
The painting is mounted in an acid free cream mount and backing board and is framed in a 1 1/4 inch gilt frame. It will be supplied with new brass hangers, new brass picture wire and will be ready to hang.
Image size: 13 1/4 x 9 1/2 inches - 33.65cm x 24.1cm
Frame size: 21 1/2 x 17 3/4 inches - 34.6cm x 45.1cm
Medium: Watercolours on paper
Condition: Very good. The colour are bright and true and there is no damage or foxing. The mount and frame are in very good condition.
