This is a delightful original watercolour of a well-dressed lady in the park holding her little Pekingese titled, ‘in the park’. The painting is watercolour and ink on paper and signed bottom right May MacPherson.

May Gardiner Nee. MacPherson was an accomplished artist who exhibited between 1914 and 1919 including at the International Society and the Society for women artists.

The painting is highly evocative of the era and is offered in an attractive modern frame. There is a label to the reverse for Paul Liss of Liss Llewellyn Fine Arts.

This painting including frame measures 30.5cm x 20cm.

The condition is very good. There is some loss to paint on the top and bottom of the frame.
