Pair Imari Vases Signed Fukagawa
Pair of Imari vases from the sought after Fukagawa factory.
The vases are good as objects for decoration and also an ideal shape for holding flowers. The vases are hand decorated in the traditional pallette of blue and iron red, enhanced with gilding. Being hand made the vases have individual charachteristics one vase is about 1 cm fatter in the body than the other. Happily they are painted individualiy to compliment one another rather than two the same.
Approximately 23.5 cms high one slighly fatter than the other as mentioned one being about 13 cms at widest while the other about 14 cms. Lovely glaze to the exterior of both vases. One vase has a firing imperfection inside the top of the vase which is shown in the photos. There are no chips, cracks, or, restorations. Currently my internet shop is closed for holidays. Apologies for any inconvenience caused.
