DESCRIPTION:
This is a stunning matching pair of late Victorian shop display cabinets dating from approx. c1870 and are all original. The cabinets are constructed of solid Mahogany with glass bow ends to both ends and mirrors in the back. They each have 2 glass doors with original chrome turned handles. Inside each cabinet there are 4 glass adjustable shelves. These cabinets do not come apart they are constructed in one piece however the doors could be removed to make them lighter for moving. Both cabinets have a very impressive cornice. This pair of cabinets really are an impressive pair and are both of outstanding quality all joints and structure tight and good. These would look fantastic in the right setting such as a high-end boutique or jewellers museum or other venue as well as in a domestic setting for displaying many treasured items. This pair are a great investment and becoming a very rare fined especially so in such fantastic condition.

WORKSHOP REPORT:
This pair of cabinets are in fantastic condition there is as anyone would expect some signs of previous ownership but nothing that requires mentioning just the odd mark through use and due to age. There is some nibbles on the shelving mostly at the back due to being caught I would imagine on the cast shelving brackets these again are not an issue and we have not replaced the shelves as we didn’t deem it necessary but that could be done if you so desired but really the nibbles are not noticeable when the shelving is fitted and dressed.
