Pocket Watch - Silver cases, London c1750

Wills, London - c1750
Silver pair cases (50 mm)
Verge movement
MOVEMENT Gilt verge movement, with finely engraved and pierced balance cock and plate, and large silver regulator disk. Signed “Wills, LONDON”. All in particularly good condition. Running well.
DIAL Silver champleve dial in good condition, with just a few light scratches. Signed “WILS, LONDON”. Nice original 18th century fancy gilt hands.
INNER CASE Silver, maker's mark IL, but no hallmarks. In reasonable condition, though the stem has been reattached and the silver around the stem reinforced with a D shaped plate (an old repair, nicely done). There are a few bruises to the back and the hinge has a broken sleeve, though the bezel does close. The high dome bull's eye crystal is in very good condition.
OUTER CASE Silver pair case. Nice condition, and again with no hallmarks. The hinge, catch button and catch are fine and the case closes correctly. There are a few light bruises on the back and one on the bezel, but overall in good condition.
Possibly a Continental watch, and nice quality, made in the middle of the 18th century. In overall good condition, with just a minor repair required to the inner case hinge.
Free worldwide postage.
Payments by cheque, bank transfer, credit & debit cards and Paypal accepted.
