Circa. 1750. Dutch East Indies Colonial brass decorated rosewood trunk. The rectangular top with extensive engraved brass mounts and roundels opens to interior with candlebox. The front of trunk with similar engraved brass decorations and a large engraved escutcheon. The sides with original cast brass carrying handle and matching engraved decorations. All supported on detachable stands, with bold turn legs in front and rectangular feet to rear. In excellent condition with lovely colour and patina.
