A very fine and rare, 9CT Gold Waltham Hunter Cased Pocket Watch, especially made by Waltham for Thomas Russell.
This watch is an excellent example, in superb condition and very good working order.
The plain, heavy, 9 carat solid gold hunter case is English made and is hallmarked with the maker's mark "TR" for Thomas Russell, "9" and ".375" for 9 carat gold, the Chester town mark and date letter "T" for 1919/20.
The white enamel dial is in excellent condition, it has the hours in Roman numerals and a sub seconds dial at six o'clock. It is signed by the maker "Waltham".
The good quality, high grade, 17 Jewels adjusted, Waltham movement is in excellent working order. It is signed by the maker "The "Russell" Model, AWWCo, Waltham Mass USA" and has a lovely damaskeened finish. It has a micro-metric regulator. All signs of a very good watch.
The watch measures 55mm in diameter (across the case, excluding the winding crown). The weight is 120.4g
