Very good quality late Regency marble top rosewood and brass grille chiffonier or pier cabinet with adjustable shelves and working lock and key, circa 1830.
wonderful rich colouring to the well figured rosewood veneers, contrasting well with the pleated raw silk and brass grilles, flanked with carved scrolls.
The adjustable shelves giving good bookshelf space or perhaps could make for a fabulous drinks cabinet.
The marble top has an overhang to the back so you can place this cabinet so it fits flush to the wall with the marble.
Measuring:
36 inches or 91.5 cm high
33 inches or 84 cm wide
19 1/4 inches or 48.5 cm deep
Depth includes 2 1/4 inches of 5.5 cm overhang at the back of the marble Based in Uppingham, Rutland…having been in the business for 25 years focusing on mostly French and English decorative antiques and interiors from the 18th to the early 20th century, hopefully a collection you will enjoy browsing and hopefully re home some of my finds!

Viewing here in Uppingham is very welcome in my spacious barn studio but also I have a showroom based within the Uppingham Antiques Centre, which is well worth a visit and have a good lunch in town too!
