Royles Patent Self Pouring Teapot 1886 by Doulton

Royles Patent Self Pouring Teapot Manufactured by Doulton's Burslem in 1886. Designed by John James Royle.
Globular body transfer printed in pale blue/green with foliage against an ivory background. Pewter lid / plunger. Printed and impressed marks to base. 21cms high.
Teapot works by raising the lid, then pressing it down with the finger covering the small hole in the top of the lid. This pressure pushes the water down into the tea leaves and through the strainer in the bottom of the pot and then pushes the tea out of the spout. The curved slope of the spout means the teapot does not have to be lifted.
No chips, good condition. Unless otherwise stated, all our items include postage and packaging in the UK.
Buyers outside the UK need to email us for postage costs before buying.
Only form of payment available is through clicking on the Buy Securely icon. We are not able to process debit/credit card payments over the phone.
If you wish to return any item then you need to advise us via email within 14 days after the day the goods are received and you will need to pay the return postage. On safe receipt of the goods the refund will be made.
