This is a set of 4 antique spoon back chairs. An English, rosewood suite of dining seats, dating to the early Victorian period, circa 1840.
An exceptional set of superb quality and visual appeal
Displaying a desirable aged patina throughout
Select frame stocks show fine grain interest and deep russet hues
Offering comfortable and supportive seating with traditionally webbed cushions
Distinctive spoon back with medallion rest to centre
Rolled top rail accentuated with feather motif
Pierced form with a decorated lower rail, adorned with scroll detail
Shield shape cushion presents a tasteful blush pink textile
Trimmed with a complementary pink brocade trim
Raised upon dashing cabriole legs with pinched toes
Gently splayed rear legs terminate in circular feet
