MOVEMENT Gilt verge movement, with engraved and pierced balance cock. Signed and numbered (21120). Good condition, with the gilding still bright, and running well.
DIAL Cream enamel dial, in good condition with no repairs but three light hairlines running from the centre to 2, 7 and 9.
INNER CASE Silver, hallmarked for London, 1845, maker's mark JH. The case snaps shut nicely and the silver is in very good condition with just a few scratches, one small bruise on the back and some wear to the bow. The small half hunter crystal is fine.
OUTER CASE Silver, matching hallmarks to the inner. The hinge is fine but the catch is absent. A few light scratches and bruises on the back but in generally nice condition.
William Phillips (II) is listed in Ludlow, Shropshire between 1821 and 1851
