Good example of the classic late 18th.c. mahogany bachelor’s chest of drawers c.1780. Useful small size, just 36″ wide. Solid mahogany top with a simple moulded edge over four drawers of graduated depth. Particularly well figured drawer fronts, also in solid mahogany, with moulded edges and Georgian pattern brass handles and escutcheons. Shaped bracket feet front and rear. Solid mahogany sides, oak drawer linings and thick pine back boards. Very good condition and condition, with earlier restorations, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
