Stunning Art Deco Chest of Drawers Walnut Veneers


This superb art deco chest of drawers is an original piece dating from approx. the 1920s. It has stunning veneers, primarily burr walnut and walnut, with a quarter veneered top. The chest consists of five drawers that are graduated in size, all of which retain their original metal and early plastic / Bakalite handles. It has a shaped lower apron to the front and sides and is supported on shaped feet. The chest is of heavy construction and superb quality. There are no maker's marks or labels.

Condition Overall this handsome piece is in good usuable condition, with some wear consistent with age and use. There is some light scuffing and wear to the woodwork as might be expected, and some fading, cracking and chipping to the veneers. There is a stain inside the top drawer.
