A gorgeous Spode squared dessert serving plate decorated in pattern 4003 with a rich mazarine blue ground reserving three angled leaf shapes, edged in yellow enamel and a large central circle, all very well painted with garden flowers in bright polychome enamels. Three other shaped reserves are painted with a yellow enamel ground and over gilded to create the effect of bunches of grapes. Rich gilt decoration over the blue ground with twining grape vine, and finished with gilt sawtooth borders to the rim and central reserve. Purple Felspar mark, and painted pattern number, c.1825.

It measures 21cm (8 1/4") wide and 2.8cm (1 1/8") high.

In excellent condition: there is a very fine glaze line to the rim which cannot be seen from the front. No damage, repair or restoration and minimal handling wear. Payment is accepted by bank transfer, card payments (via an online invoice, I'm afraid we cannot take payments over the telephone), Paypal and UK personal cheque.
