A gorgeous large BURMANTOFTS Art Pottery Jardiniere Stand in a beautiful high gloss turquoise Faience glaze, produced between 1882 and 1904. Marked inside the base with impressed Burmantofts Faience England logo and design no. 1856G as illustrated. Raised floral and geometric decoration
In very good antique condition. No significant damage, cracks or chips. The usual few very small 'fleabites' on raised areas of decoration. What looks like a firing fault and some general wear on top (neither visible under a planter!). Height ~ 785mm, dia ~ 300mm
This vibrant piece will look wonderful in either a period or a contemporary setting.
