A stunning painting by James Henry Crossland.
Canvas in excellent condition.
Frame has had a little restoration.
James Henry Crossland (1852-1939) was a landscape artist in oils.
The son of a vicar, he was born in Wakefield, Yorkshire but moved firstly to Derbyshire and then to the Lake District.
Most of his work depicted Lake District scenes.
He was a founder member of the Lake Artists' Society in 1904.
He exhibited at Suffolk Street, the Royal Academy and the Royal Cambrian Academy.
