Two LMS Cars Table Spoons
Circa 1930s
Silver Plate
One by Mappin & Webb, 1A grade plating - the top grade.
One by Gladwin Embassy, C grade plating - the third grade.
The London, Midland and Scottish Railway operated from 1923 to 1948.
Approximate dimensions: length 21.5cm and 21cm,joint weight 179.5 grams.
The Mappin & Webb spoon is a little shorter but both are about the same weight.
The railway cutlery was in daily use so there are a lot of surface marks reflecting heavy use.
Good pieces of railway memorabilia which are still usable.
