A very decorative and unusual Chinese or Chinoiserie black and brown ground lacquer 4 door cabinet. The brown panels having carved low relief Chinese scenes with hand painted decoration and are possibly parts of another Chinese piece. The removable cornice with Chinoiserie decoration, the cabinet with 2 gilded astragal glazed doors, the centre doors with carved and coloured panels. The base with decorated frieze and square legs with block feet, the whole with gilded highlights. A stunning and unusual Oriental piece in good useable condition with 2 or 3 bumps and bruises associated with age and use. With working locks and key. Sizes- Max.Width...51''...130cm.
