Circa 1920 with alterations. Victorian-style inlaid burr walnut open bookcase. The polished top with burr and figured walnut with boxwood string, inlay above a foliate inlaid frieze with cast brass mounts. The bookcase with three adjustable shelves, now hand-painted in a Swedish grey colour, and flanked by simple columns with boxwood inlay and brass mounts. The sides in nicely figured burr walnut and all sitting on a plinth base. Both a decorative and functional item of antique furniture.
