Victorian 18CT Gold Half Hunter Pocket Watch c1876


A very nice Antique, Victorian 18CT Gold Half Hunter Cased Pocket Watch made in London and dating from c1876.
The English 18 carat solid gold case is hallmarked with the case maker's mark "HS", the "crown and "18" for 18 carat gold, the Leopard's Head London town mark and date letter "A" for 1876/77. The case with nice engine turned engraving to front and rear, the hours in blue enamel Roman numerals on the front cover. There is a circular cartouche to the rear that is free of engraved initials. The case in very good condition but does have some very minor indents to the rear.
The white enamel dial is in excellent condition. It has the hours in roman numerals.
The three quarter plate English Lever movement is in good condition and working order. It is key wound and set with the key provided.
The watch measures 47mm in diameter (across the case). The weight is 80.6g.
