Victorian carved Gothic oak desk writing table

Antique Victorian carved Gothic oak desk or writing table.
19th Century, possibly European continent origins.
This is a lovely quality piece, that is full of age, charm and character.
Solid, heavy and with no loose joints....a rare find.
Rather charming gap between two planks on the top.
Lovely warm and mellow colouring with a glorious patina.
The oak lined drawers slide freely (some internal staining as one would expect).
Would look great in the right location!
Overall maximum dimensions 120cmW x 70cmD x 73cmH x 55cmH knee hole.
Historic knocks, marks, cracks, scratches, wear, imperfections, repairs and alterations, as is always the way and to be expected with genuine antique furniture. No key and the lock is consequently untested. There are a few historic extinct woodworm holes, that we have treated for good measure.
Please note that this item is large and heavy (one piece). Please make sure before buying that it will fit in and can be maneuvered into the room that it is intended for. The customer will need to provide a strong able bodied person for our driver to assist with carrying.
