Description:
Here is an example of a fine quality antique English 4ft 6” mahogany and leather carved partner’s desk, circa 1860, in good condition. The desk benefits from a good quality new green inset leather decorated with with elegant gold tooling, which is bordered by mahogany banding and a thumb moulded top. If you prefer different colour leather, we can replace it with a colour of your choice for an additional £150.
The desk incorporates 9 graduated working drawers (for ample storage space), which retain their original working locks and key. All drawers are mahogany lined, feature hand dovetailing and boast quarter beading (a sign of quality). They also retain their original mahogany turned knobs.
The pedestals sit on their original moulded plinths and castors, allowing the desk to be moved. The desk is freestanding which means it can be situated in the centre of the room. The desk can be dismantled into three sections for easy transport and access into the home.
This desk features a rich, warm brown mahogany colour. As it boasts the original polish, it has a fantastic colour and patination this can only be achieved through age and the years of care and cleaning it has received.

The desk incorporates a good quality new green leather, which is in good condition and does not have any scratches, rips or stains on it. If you prefer a different colour leather, we can replace it with a colour of your choice for an additional £150. Nominal old use marks to the insides of the drawers, with ink stains visible in one of the drawers. All drawers run smoothly and close flush to the frame. All drawers and cupboards feature the original working brass lever locks and keys. This desk is solid in joint and ready to use.

Once you have purchased an item, we will contact you be email and/or telephone and provide you with a provisional delivery date, in order for you to confirm if it is suitable for you. Once you have confirmed you can accept delivery on the provisional delivery date, we will book the delivery in with our shippers and it then becomes a confirmed delivery date.
