Victorian Mahogany Ambergs Patent Filing Cabinet

A lovely mahogany filing cabinet. We date this cabinet to the late 19th century.
The filing cabinet sits on a plinth base and comprises two hinged doors. The right hand door is fitted with a lock (key is supplied) and the left hand door has a top catch.
The cabinet has ‘Ambergs Patent Cabinet Letter File’ painted in gold and red above the doors.
The cabinet has a height of 18” (45cm), a width of 30.5" (77cm) and a depth of14" (36cm).
This attractive cabinet remains in a good solid condition with surface markings commensurate with age and usage. The internal drawers are now missing and there is wear throughout, primarily to the top surface.
This remains a very stylish and elegant cabinet. It will continue to provide sterling service for many years to come.
