A superb quality Victorian burr walnut and marquetry inlaid pier cabinet. The rectangular shaped top above the floral marquetry inlaid frieze with ormolu beading. The unusual rounded stiles with good quality ormolu mounts and the central panelled door with a fine marquetry inlaid floral and vase panel within a cross banded border and further ormolu beading. The door opens to reveal the original dark red velvet lined interior and benefits from having a working lock and keys. The walnut ends with boxwood stringing and the whole raised on conforming shaped plinth. Dimensions:- Height…41’’/ 109cm. Width…33’’/ 84cm. Depth…16.75’’/ 42.5cm.
