Description:
A stunning example of a Georgian Welsh oak Cwpwrdd Deuddarn, circa 1750. in good condition, displaying extremely desirable colour and patina throughout. This two tier cupboard with its top and lower sections for ease of transportation, was typically used for storing kitchen utensils and food and would have taken pride of place as one of the most valuable possessions in the house. Therefore it would most certainly make a perfect statement piece in any fine home whether it be the hallway, dining room or kitchen.

This fine example of antique period Welsh oak antique furniture has been constructed from quarter-sawn figured welsh oak in the traditional joined peg construction method. The upper section with its moulded cornices and drop-pendant frieze gives the cupboard its commanding presence in any room. Set below, three ogee panel doors with panelled sides. The lower section with three frieze draws with replacement Georgian brass handles and a pair of cross panel doors below, set on stile feet.
