This is a fine pair of Watercolours of Venice by William Knox circa 1910, attractively mounted and framed. Signed W Knox to bottom right in one painting and to bottom left in the other.

William Knox (1862-1925) was renowned for capturing the unique light of Venice in his atmospheric watercolours which gave him a reputation for producing some of the finest views of Venice by a British artist since J M W. Turner a century earlier. His views of Venice are highly sought after today.

Dimensions: Frame 57 x 47 cm

Condition: Both watercolours are in excellent antique condition and have been attractively framed in recent times. The cream coloured mounts have been enhanced with watercolour lines and wash and enclosed within antiqued gilt frames.
