WW1 period French Infantry Officers sword
WW1 period French Infantry Officers sword in its steel scabbard. Black composition, copper wire bound grip. Three bar nickel hilt. Double edged, straight, tapering blade engraved with makers name on one side and a ponicon on the reserve. The blade has light rust staining overall. Scabbard with dark grey patina overall and nickel throat at the top of scabbard. There are two small slight dents to the scabbard. In good sound condition overall and fits tightly into scabbard.
Approximately 102cm overall and 83cm.
