Bow-fronted writing table/desk by JAS Shoolbred
An Edwardian fine quality mahogany bow-fronted writing table/desk by JAS Shoolbred.
This piece consists of a green tooled leather top with a mahogany border with boxwood and mahogany stringing.
The table has four bow-fronted drawers, two long over two short with oak linings.
Each of the drawers has a central panel of curl mahogany with mahogany and boxwood stringing and mahogany cross banding with original oval brass handles.
The central kneehole area has inlaid fan decoration to the top corners and the table is supported on tapered legs terminating with brass box castors.
The table is stamped JAS Shoolbred.
This piece could be used as either a desk or writing table or dressing table so is a very versatile item.
This piece is in excellent condition and can go straight into home or office.
