Early 20th C. 1 Pint Pewter Tankard, c.1920s / 30s

This is a handsome Early 20th Century One Pint Pewter Tankard dating to the interwar years. The tankard has a circular base, a squared off handle and a planished finish to the tapered body. There are no initials or personalisation of any kind.
The tankard was made in Sheffield by Viner's Ltd as part of their Craftsman Pewter range, which they produced between 1926 and 1939. Viner's was founded around 1900 by Adolphe Viener, who later Anglicized his family surname to Viner. Starting out as electroplaters, the firm moved into silverware and later pewter in the 1920s. They remained extremely successful up until the 1970s but later had difficulties and ceased trading in the 1980s. The Viner's brand name is now owned by Oneida.
Condition is very good, with no dings or dents, a nice patina to the pewter and just the superficial surface wear that you would expect with use and the passage of time. Please make sure to view all the photographs.
The tankard has a one pint capacity, is 11.7cm / 4.6ins from rim to handle, 10.9cm / 4.3ins diameter across the base and stands 12.1cm / 4.8ins high. It weighs 392g / 13.8oz.
The underside of the base is stamped CRAFSTMAN PEWTER, SHEFFIELD.
Shipping in the UK is £6 by Royal Mail Tracked 24.
