Edwin Earp signed watercolour of Ullswater

Charming watercolour of Ullswater in the Lake District by Edwin Earp, a listed artist, c.1900
Attractive scene of sailing boats on Ullswater against a mountainous backdrop.
Signed in paint bottom right. Title in pencil bottom centre right.
Dimensions:
Frame: 64.5 cm x 44.5 cm (25 1/2" x 17 1/2")
Mount window: 49 cm x 28.5 cm (19 1/4" x 11 1/4")
Condition: Generally very good. The paper is clean and the colours bright. There are a few tiny spots and two vertical bands where there is some fading to the colours (where light has penetrated from the back between the original wooden backboards). The frame and mount are in near perfect condition - clearly, this watercolour has recently been professionally re-framed.
Biography:
Edwin Earp (1851-1945) was the son of Henry Earp senior, head of a large family of artists. He painted across the British Isles and in Europe. He favoured landscapes and especially mountainous scenes in Scotland, Wales and the Lake District.
