A handsome and good quality late George III mahogany bureau, the fall opening to reveal a fitted interior of drawers and pigeonholes, above an arrangement of four graduated oak lined drawers, and raised on club bracket feet.

Condition and Details of Restoration
This item is in untouched original condition, and has all the characterful old marks that might be expected on a piece of this age. It is structurally sound. The handles are replacements, but there is no ‘handle problem’, i.e. unsightly marks left on the drawer fronts by previous handles. The baize writing surface has been replaced.
