Attractive Partner desk in beautiful golden oak large proportions to accommodate someone at each side. The red leather top with moulded oak edge is fitted with three frieze drawers with swan shaped brass handles the long centre drawer conceals a writing slope on both side, the top lifts off the two pedestals making it easier to move. The right pedestal is fitted with three drawers with turned bun handles to the front and a cupboard with shelf and panelled door to the reverse, the left has shelves to the front also a cupboard with shelf and panelled door to the reverse, The pedestals stand on plinth bases.
J & T Scott were high quality antique furniture traders who had a impressive building at 10, George Street in Edinburgh from late 19th century
