These gorgeous late 19th century Japanese Meiji pottery chargers are painted in bright enamels featuring carp surrounded by a border of brilliant blue chrysanthemums and florals. Both plates are beautifully detailed and come to you with no chips, cracks or restoration. Each plate measures 15 ¾ in – 40 cm in diameter and 1 ½ in – 3.8 cm high. Each plate has a painted and pressed mark on the back, and would make a wonderful decorator’s piece for many rooms. Thomas Crabb Antiques was founded in 1979 and is run by Stephen Roy Thomas.
