Rosewood Slide Top Davenport
An attractive late Regency/William IV rosewood davenport. The top slides forward and the hand dyed green hide fall lifts to reveal an interior consisting of 2 dummy and 2 real drawers, all with turned pulls, the right hand side contains a pen and ink drawer which is hinged when fully extended. There are 4 graduated drawers all with turned rosewood pulls, Bramah style escutcheons and corresponding dummy drawers to the left. The front and back have matching rosewood panels with applied square columns and superbly carved capitals. The whole standing on plinth base with turned feet below and sunken brass castors. With keys. Condition- Very good with an excellent mellow colour. More photos available.
