A highly unusual Victorian carved dark oak desk of small proportions with a single deep frieze drawer above two pedestal cupboards. The carving is extremely ornate depicting Roman Gods and Goddesses surrounded by grapevines and leaves. The single drawer is flanked by two corbels with a central lion. A true statement piece from the Victorian era with some of the nicest carvings we have seen. c1880
