18thC French Silver Wine Taster, British Import HM

18thC French Silver Wine Taster with British Import Hallmarks
French 18th C wine taster (tastevin) with pre-1797 hallmarks (artichoke/urn, and clover (?)), when the standard finesse of silver was introduced. Artichoke/urn reconnaissance mark was used to distinguish old works with the addition of new parts. In Paris it was used from 1750 to 1774.
The maker and date marks are difficult to identify.
Clear full set of British Import hallmarks for:
Boaz Moses & Landeck, London 1907 on the rim, and B.M.L. letters (for Boaz Moses & Landeck) also repeated on the base.
Some barely visible pawnshop marks to the base.
In very good condition showing minor signs of age and wear. No damage. Weight 66.95g. Listed items are usually available to view at the Red House Antiques Centre in York.
